I got an interesting email from Endomondo the other day deal-tailing the National Bike Challenge where they are a co-sponsor. The challenge runs from May 1st through August 31 and the goal is to get 50,000 cyclist to log 10 million miles. You can do it either as a solo venture or as a team. There are some prizes of some sort from the sponsors. See the National Bike Challenge for further details.
I’m already out cycling getting in my exercising and I already log the rides at dailymile, so why not take part in the challenge. Logging in the miles is a very simple process of entering type of ride, how many times you did it and the miles cycled on the calendar. So, I signed up as part of the Ciclistas Urbanos team and I’m now trying to get the rest of the team to sign up and start logging their miles. We’ll see how that turns out.

Hey fellow Endo,
Spring time has arrived and it is time to get out on your bike. You are invited to join the Get Up & Ride National Bike Challenge which is starting May 1st and runs until August 31st.
So what is the National Bike Challenge?
Basically it is a challenge with the purpose to connect and engage bicyclists across the United States, whether you are biking for pleasure or commuting. It is free to join and the challenge is sponsored by Kimberly-Clark in partnership with Bikes Belong, the League of American Bicyclists and Endomondo.
You can join as a private person or you can invite your workplace and participate together. To join or get more information, please visit the National Bike Challenge website and you have a chance to win great prizes every month during the challenge.
